The St. Patrick Community is here to accompany you in your time of grief. Whether your loss was yesterday or years past, whether you are a parent, wife, husband, brother, sister, child or friend, your grief is an emotion that is real and unique. We are here to share your burden. Let us walk with you on this challenging journey. We gather every 3rd Tuesday of the month, 6:00PM-8:30PM in the Ministry Building.
The Saint Vincent De Paul Society
The St. Vincent De Paul Society is a group of parishioners who review the previous week’s applications for aid, from people who live within our parish and who have not received our assistance during the preceding twelve months. The ministry then divides the applicants’ papers among its members and go to the residences to verify their occupancy, their identities’ and their needs. This ministry will help them with utilities (excluding phone), rent; and after listening to extenuating circumstances, we may help them with food, medical bills, or other necessities. The money comes from some donations, but primarily from the second collection taken up on the first Sunday of every month. Anyone who is truly interested in helping the very neediest in our parish would be most welcome to join our small congregation. Please call the Parish Office (915-533-4451).
The St. Patrick Sandwich Ministry
The Saint Patrick sandwich ministry has been very successful due to the efforts of the parishioners who work quickly and efficiently twice a week. These sandwiches are distributed to three different locations. The goal is to have consistent dedicated parishioners to prepare sandwiches in support of the ministry. We are looking for volunteers to assist in making sandwiches for the poor. Donations are accepted. For more information call the Parish Office (915-533-4451).
The Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus Council #16778 meets on the 2nd Monday of every month at 6:00 pm in the Knight’s Hut located in the alley between the church and the school. The council is dedicated to help men, their families and their communities grow closer to Christ. Who are we?
Opportunity Center for the Homeless
The St. Patrick Opportunity Center is open to all who wish to serve and/or provide meals to the homeless. Our parish community is committed to serve either lunch or dinner to our homeless. The community will co-operatively provide and serve food at the Opportunity Center. This ministry is a huge help in ensuring our homeless have warm, nutritious meals and is a wonderful way for community members to share a meal with the homeless. If you are interested in helping with a meal, please contact the Parish Office (575-533-4451).
Liturgical Commitee
The Liturgical Commitee, through a collaborative effort of parishioners, clergy and staff, works to ensure that the parish liturgical celebrations are celebrated within the guidelines of the church.
The liturgical commission facilitates ongoing formation, training and education for liturgical ministers and all parishioners.
Parish Council
The council members are volunteer parishioners and serve in leadership with the clergy and staff assigned to the parish. The council provides pastoral leadership in formulating and enabling parish goals, including ministry needs and activities. The council continuously plans parish-wide events and activities within the community.
Meetings are held monthly and are open to all parishioners. Anyone wishing to address the council should contact the Parish Office (915) 533-4451.
